Cover eyesore pipe with foot bridge at Starr's Mill

Letters from Our Readers

I lived in Fayetteville for a year and a half, then my wife and I moved to Senoia, where we now live. Every day on my way to work I pass Starr's Mill. It is a beautiful picturesque scene. At least it used to be.

Many people use the area for picnics, fishing, studying, reading, and relaxing. When Fayette County put the pump station in, they did a wonderful job of matching the pump building to complement the mill. I commend them for this.

The huge black worm of a pipe arching across Whitewater Creek is a terrible eyesore.

I would like to ask, or propose, to Fayette County to build a foot bridge over the pipe structure.

By doing so they would further beautify the mill area, and would make the east property more accessible for county residents and visitors.
