NAPA 500 cruises into town

Jeff Gordon may have clinched the Winston Cup Championship this past weekend at North Carolina Motor Speedway but that doesn't mean the NAPA 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway won't be fun. The racing begins Thursday night with a Legends race . At 12:30 pm on Friday the Georgia Boot Pole Day qualifying begins and the Winn Dixie 250 starts at 2pm. The Stihl 300 race will start at 1:00 pm on Saturday and the NAPA 500 will begin at 12:40 pm on Sunday.

The Legends race will feature masters, semi-pro, chargers, young lions, pro and bandelero divisions. The Legends will race on the quarter-mile oval on the AMS frontstretch.

Saturday's Stihl 300 race may be the best bargain for a family of race fans as tickets in the no alcohol Coca-Cola Racing Family Grandstand will be two for the price of one while children under the age of 12 will be admitted free

Atlanta Motor Speedway has sold tickets in all 50 states for this weekend's races. Orders have also been taken from over 10 foreign countries including South Africa, Germany, New Zealand, Canada and England. Tickets are still available for all races, for more information call the ticket office at 770-946-4211.
