"Single Parent Families and the Holidays" is the theme for the sixth Single Parent Saturday at Fayetteville First Baptist Church Nov. 14.

The event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For the $5 registration charge, participants will receive continental breakfast, lunch, child care, music, fellowship and car care.

For those who need it, the church's Brotherhood will change the oil and filter and check fluids in registrants' cars.

Topics for the seminar include practical ways to cut spending, starting new family traditions, getting a handle on grief and loneliness, and putting joy back into the holiday season. To register, come by the church at 205 East Stonewall Ave. or call 770-461-8378. After Nov. 12 the registration fee will be $8.
