By the end of this Thursday night's meeting, developers in Tyrone should know what kind of impact fees they might be paying next year.

Last month, the town decided to pursue the option of charging impact fees on future developments to help pay for the town's impending growth. The town envisions an ambitious capital growth project of a new administrative complex, a new library and a series of parks.

During Thursday night's meeting of the Tyrone Town Council, town manager Barry Amos said, the town will discuss drawing an ordinance to implement the fees starting in 1999. The town has already sent their proposed projects and fee structure of $1,075 per residential lot to the Department of Community Affairs for approval, and Amos said the city will review DCA's findings.

The total cost for all the town's projects would be $3.42 million for the projects that would be tentatively built in 2002.

The town will also discuss a curb cut request by Ed Wyatt for his convenience store on Ga. Highway 74. Wyatt wants a "right in, right out" cut for the store, Amos said.

The meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. at Tyrone Town Hall.
