The Fayette County Historical Society has embarked on a new money-making project, issuing a calendar each year, with a special county theme.

This first year the theme is old Fayette County Schools, with the oldest being a photo taken in 1880 and the latest was one taken in the early 1950's.

"We are very pleased," said society president, Tony Parrott, "with our first venture into this field. We feel the calendar as a whole is well done, the paper and printing are firstclass and the photo's we have chosen are each a treasure."

The price of the calendar is $5.00 each and are available at the historical society, Fayette Book Shop, Fayetteville, (behind the Waffle House), in Peachtree City at Omega Book Store, in the A & P Shopping Center and at the Fayette Citizen office, 310 N. Glynn St. Bldg. B.
