The Environmental Protection Division announced that
vehicle owners adversely affected by software using overly
stringent final cutpoints will be reimbursed for unnecessary repairs.
Approximately 500 older model vehicles from
1975-1992 tested between Oct.1-Oct. 16 may have failed the test due
to overly stringent cutpoints. EPD identified a problem with
a single test system in early October and by Oct. 16,
Georgia's Clean Air Force had completed resolution of the problem
by installing updated software on the 111 affected machines.

Georgia's Clean Air Force at 770-499-6543.
