- W.D Walters
- W. D. Walters, 66, Moreland, died Oct. 18, 1998. He was born June
6, 1932 in Scott County, Miss. He was son of the late William L. and
Clennie Brantley Walters and was retired as an aircraft avionics technician.
He had served in the United States Air Force.
- Services were held at the Faith Baptist Church, Moreland, with
the Rev. Mark Spence officiating. Interment was at
Sebastapol Cemetery, Sebastapol, Miss.
- Survivors include his wife, Lou Walters, Moreland; a son, W. D.
Jr. and Regenia Walters, Sharpsburg; daughters, Denecia and Tony
Brooks, Moreland and Valorie and Joe Wheat, Bradenton, Fla.; grandsons,
Darrell Walters, Lee Walters, Barrett Wheat and Cole Wheat;
granddaughters Anna Brooks, Katie Brooks, Mallie Brooks and Christi Walters; and
a sister, Sue Ann and Joe Walker, Sebastapol, Miss.

- Vivian Boone
- Vivian Boone, 75, Newnan, died Oct. 23, 1998. She was born May
8, 1923 in Dalton, Ga. and was the daughter of the late L. G. and
Willie O. Dial Masdon. She was retired from Arnall Mills as a textile
worker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Hamlin Boone.
- Graveside services were held at Oak Hill Cemetery, with the
Rev. Bill Dean officiating.
- Survivors include brothers, Gerald Masdon, Sharpsburg and
Robert Masdon, Newnan; and sisters, Ellen Armstead, Columbia, S.C. and
Doris Cammons, Charleston, S.C.

- Andrew Thrower
- Andrew "Shorty" Thrower, 79, Franklin, Ga., died Oct. 24, 1998.
He was born Oct. 14. 1919 in Heard County, Ga., the son of Henry
and Othie Thrower. He was preceded in death by sons Andrew
(Andy) Thrower, Jr. and Tommie Thrower.
- Services were held at the McKoon Funeral Home Chapel with the
Rev. Gary Lawrence, the Rev. J. C. Cook and the Rev. Bill Dean officiating.
- Survivors include his wife, Joyce Marie Thrower, Franklin; sons,
Tim Thrower and Gary Britt, both of Franklin, Ronny Thrower,
Illinois, and Norman Britt, Virginia; daughters, Rose
Marie Anuszkiewicz, Newnan, Diane Folsom and Hattie Jones Dean,
both of Franklin, Jane Wilson, Tennessee, and Joyce Stewart, Florida; and
21 grandchildren.

- Henry Fields
- Henry Ralph Fields, 75, Newnan, died Oct. 27, 1998. He was
born April 4, 1923 in Carroll County, Ga., the son of Edward and Lizzie
Bass Fields. He had served in the United States Navy and was retired as
a supervisor of housekeeping at Peachtree Regional Hospital.
- Services were held at the McKoon Funeral Home Chapel with the
Rev. James Wiggins and the Rev. J. C. Chapman officiating.
- Survivors include his wife, Odessa Fields, Newnan; sons, George
Fields, Sargent, Ga., and Jerry Fields, Carrollton; a brother, Ed Fields and
a sister, Virginia Bass, both of Newnan; a grandson, Ryan
Fields; granddaughters, Samantha Buchanan and Melissa Hogan; and
great-grandchildren, Christopher Buchanan, Bobby Hogan,
John Hogan and Joseph Hogan.
