Acting series continues

Offshoot Productions will present the second in its series of fall acting workshops Saturday, Nov. 7, from 1-3:30 p.m. at the Peachtree City Library. "How to create a believable character" is designed for ages 8-14. The fee is $15.

Among the topics to be explored are motivation (why a character does what he or she does), reacting to others, and the physical aspects involved in characterization. Through exercises and scene work, the participants will arrive at a deeper understanding of what "works" on stage and why.

The third and fourth workshops, which will take place at The Gathering Place in Peachtree City, are for ages 13 through adult. "The actor's voice: choices that really work," will be from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8. "Making your character come alive" will be on Sunday, Nov. 15, from 2-5 p.m. The fee for each of the teen/adult workshops is $18.
