* Fayette County public works director Lee Hearn said he hopes travelers on Tyrone Road won't be inconvenienced too much longer.

Road crews are closing Tyrone Road at Ellison Road during daylight hours this week to repair a bad stretch of potholes.

The intersection will be closed 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for as long as the repair takes. Hearn said the project is expected to take a week, maybe less. "We don't want that road to be closed any longer than we absolutely have to," he said.

For information phone the road department at 770-461-3142, ext. 172.
