Delta Air Lines recently announced two promotions of area residents. Peachtree City's Joe Licitra was promoted to vice-president-airport customer service and will report to Vicki Escarra, Delta's executive vice-president-customer service. "In that role, Joe will be directly and importantly involved in our strategic work to improve our customer service," said Delta president and CEO Leo Mullin. Licitra has been with Delta for 19 years, starting in baggage service as a part-time agent at JFK in New York. He most recently served as managing-director-airport customer service. "He will remain responsible for all Delta's worldwide airport operations outside of the Atlanta Worldport," Mullin added. Sharpsburg's Mike Bell was promoted to vice-president-schedule development and will report to Mark Drusch, Delta's senior vice-president-network management. Bell, along with Dog Blisset, Delta's newly named vice-president network analysis, is part of a highly experienced and skilled team which over the years has designed and developed many of Delta's core network assets, such as the Cincinnati hub, the growth of the Atlanta Worldport and the restructuring of New York's JFK international gateway. "They have been an integral part of Delta's strong improvement in revenue performance," said Mullin. Bell has been with Delta for 27 years. He lives in Sharpsburg with his wife and two children. He received his bachelor of Industrial Engineering degree from Georgia Tech and his MBA from Georgia State University. He is in the Active Reserve with the United State Coast Guard and holds the rank of Captain. |
