* Fayette County road crews will close Tyrone Road at Ellison Road during daylight hours starting tomorrow.

The road department has patched that section of Tyrone Road numerous times, said a spokesman, and it's time to close off traffic so crews can tear out the old patches and do a more thorough repair.

The intersection will be closed 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for as long as the repair takes. Transportation director Lee Hearn said the project is expected to take a week, maybe less. "We don't want that road to be closed any longer than we absolutely have to," he said.

For information phone the road department at 770-461-3142, ext. 172. *JDN Development Inc. has asked that its new plans for a Lowe's Superstore and shopping center just north of Banks Crossing Shopping Center be tabled again.

The plan shows the Lowe's store facing the back of the Banks Crossing KMart, but gives no details of other retail buildings planned for the center or its out-parcels.

Fayetteville planning staff members said the drawing also lacks detail in landscaping, drainage, impervious surface, tree retention and other required plans.

The plan may be fleshed out and resubmitted in time for the city Planning Commission's December meetings, said a spokesman.

If it is resubmitted by the deadline of Nov. 9, the plan can be considered at the commission's Dec. 8 workshop and Dec. 15 business meeting.
