Not too many churches have its own personal logo, and the one for Heritage Harvest Church is indeed unique. It is a shaft of wheat blowing in the wind indicating the members are ready to be harvested to do God's work.

"We are a Living Praise Church," said Pastor Ron Stribling, "we are a vibrant, very much alive congregation. The church is not just a place for people to go to get ready for Heaven, it's a place for training so that each member can go forth in their individual ministries."

The church began in 1991 and for two years was housed in a store front in Fayetteville. It then merged with another church, which had a building on Ga. Highway 92 South. The sanctuary sat 100 people and just three weeks ago, the congregation entered a new, 250-seat sanctuary, built adjoining the old one. The first sanctuary is being divided into Sunday School rooms and the nursery is being enlarged.

Worship services are held each Sunday morning at 10 a.m., children's church is at that same time and there is a Wednesday evening service at 7:30 p.m. Women's Bible studies are Tuesday mornings at 9:30 a.m.

Serving as pastoral assistants are Marvin and Sherry Moss, Norman Zimmer serves as administrator of the church, and Kathy Zimmer serves as music director. Serving as youth director is Lisa Bishop and the children's department is looked after by Tammy Eason.

Pastor Stribling was born and reared in the Atlanta area, graduating from Morrow High School. Though initially going into sales, he felt pulled into the ministry and holds a Batchelor of Biblical Studies from the Gospel Bible College in Jacksonville, Fla. and has a Masters in Theology from Central Christian University in Arkansas.

He married in 1982 and he and Terri have three children, Sara, 14, R.J., Jr. 9, and Hope, age 6 While they divorced two years ago, they are being re-married on December 5.

"This is the testimony of God's power," said Pastor Stribling. "I feel as though my life has gone the whole nine yards."

The church is a member of the Interdenominational Apostolic Ministries which includes 500 churches world wide. They are in covenant with one another and are accountable to each other for its actions and ministries.

Heritage Harvest Church is located at 1653 Ga. Highway 85 South and can be reached at 770-460-9801.
