Carolyn Fludd is right choice for school board

Letters from Our Readers

[an error occurred while processing this directive]

On Nov. 3, we have a great opportunity to vote. I have been a citizen of Fayette county for over 11 years and have three children (one each in high school, middle school and elementary), and am particularly concerned about my children's educational experience and opportunities.

The school board members have a great impact on my children's education through their actions, including boundary changes, curriculum, principals and a new superintendent, just to name a few.

Carolyn Fludd is a great choice for Fayette County School Board. Carolyn Fludd is running for school board because so many people asked her to run. Carolyn is currently serving her second year as PTA president at North Fayette Elementary and has been a parent volunteer for the last six years. She is a dedicated volunteer who puts the children first.

As a member of the school board, she [will be] committed to parental input in all decisions. Carolyn has owned her own business and has a B.S. degree in business, which expertise is definitely needed on the school board. If elected to the school board, Carolyn will request an annual status report of curriculum to ensure that it reflects community standards. Carolyn is committed to volunteering and doing what is needed to ensure that Fayette County has the best schools.

I urge all citizens of Fayette County to join me in voting for Carolyn Fludd on Nov. 3.

Marilee Gardner
