Art Contest
How children interpret the theme "Volunteer to Make a Difference" will make good fun and good art for the Peachtree City Recreation Department as it celebrates Children's Week in November.

An art contest for elementary children in all PTC schools will earn prizes for first, second and third places in three grade categories at each school. The drawings, poems, posters, photographs or other art work will then be displayed in the Peachtree City library the week of Nov. 2.

Winners will be honored Nov. 10 at the Commission on Children and Youth meeting at 7 p.m. at City Hall.

Deadline for entries, handed in to the various schools or brought to the Recreation Department, 191 McIntosh Trail, is 5 p.m. on Oct. 28. Coordinators for the event say that volunteering does make a difference and is a good way to celebrate Children's Week.
