Dining GuideSeveral restaurants coming to Fayette
By KELLEY R. DAUGHERTY
Approximately three weeks ago, Picadilly
Cafeteria opened on Banks Crossing Road in
Fayetteville after buying out the chain Morrison's.
Manager Chris Gerlitz said business is "booming," which is
obvious by the lines streaming all the way to the door each day.
The Picadilly is famous for their "dilly" plate that features a
meat and two vegetables or the "Super dilly" that also includes a
dessert, bread and drink.
The restaurant, unlike many Southern kitchens, has
numerous selections of meats and vegetables that are perfect for the
weight, cholesterol and sodium conscious.
Over 20 vegetables a day such as smothered ocra, corn,
macoroni and cheese, black-eyed peas and succotash are available for
those who enjoy large vegetable plates.
Chicken, baked or fried, homestyle roast beef and
gravy, fish and pork are also seasoned perfectly for a good family meal.
Prices range between $4-8 per person. The Cafeteria
operates from 11 a.m.-8:30 p.m. daily.

Peachtree City is welcoming three new restaurants to be
located on the corner of Ga. Highways 54 and 74, behind or
near Longhorn Steakhouse.
Chili's, famous for a fum atmostphere and a great
children's menu, is among the three. They serve up a variety of foods from
a traditional steak dinner to chicken fingers to a bowl of beans.
The remaining two restaurants both serve Mexican cuisine,
Don Pablo's and On the Border.
These are two chains that are new to the southside of
Atlanta and will likely be big hits.
All three of the restaurants should be completed by
February 1999. The sites are currently being cleared.
