An Atlanta truck driver ran out of luck last week as he crossed the railroad tracks at Kelly Drive in Peachtree City and found himself arrested. Peachtree City Police reports show that Fredrick D. Lamar, 45, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for possession of dangerous drugs when his truck got stuck on the tracks. When police responded to a call about the truck on the track Oct. 7, said Chief Jim Murray, they "discovered the outstanding warrants and arrested Lamar." Police also arrested Sheila R. Werner, 31, of Newnan, for trying to obtain an impounded vehicle with a fraudulent insurance card. The vehicle had been impounded as having no insurance, reports show. Werner was arrested later, after determination by the state that the insurance card was false. Several thefts from vehicles are being investigated, from incidents at Harvest Family Church, A&P Market at Peachtree Crossings and Flat Creek Golf Club. Hit-and-run damage to property occurred at two residences on Spooner Ridge and one on Stillwater, reports show.
