The interdenominational group Women Seeking God's Best, comprised of members from 24 area churches, will host a conference featuring author Beth Moore this weekend at the Starr's Mill High School Auditorium.

More than 1,500 people from the community are expected to attend.

While the conference sold out long ago, First Baptist Church of Peachtree City is offering a viewing through tape delay. Moore will visit the church personally Saturday from 8:15-9:15 a.m. before proceeding with the rest of the conference at the auditorium. The session ends at 3 p.m. Women will be treated to a continental breakfast, lunch and the same favors received by those attending at the auditorium.

Moore, from Houston, is the author of "A Woman's Heart," "A Heart Like His," "To Live Is Christ," and a collection of poetry titled, "Things Pondered."

She is a graduate of Southwest Texas State University and a mother of three. She travels extensively as a guest speaker and teacher.

Also highlighting the conference will be praise and worship led by Alicia Williamson Garcia.

The conference will begin at 7 p.m. Friday for men, women and teens, where Moore will present "A Fresh Look at the Heart of Christ." The Saturday portion of the conference is for women only.

Tickets for the Friday evening presentation are $5 and can be purchased at Sonrise Christian Bookstore in Fayetteville or The Ark in Newnan.

Since the conference on Saturday is sold out, tickets can be purchased for the viewing from the First Baptist Church of Peachtree City for $10 in person or by mailing a check made out to Women Seeking God's Best at First Baptist PTC, attention: Women's Ministries, 208 Willowbend Rd., Peachtree City, GA 30269.
