Fayette residents who own a Honda Accord should beware
after a new report from the FBI.
According to the FBI Uniform Crime Report, the Accord was
the most commonly stolen vehicle in the Atlanta region.
"Atlanta area motorists need to take steps to protect their
vehicles, especially if they drive theft-prone vehicles," said David
Colmans, Georgia Insurance Information Service executive director.
The most commonly stolen vehicles in Atlanta in 1997 are:
· Honda Accord.
· Oldsmobile Cutlass.
· Chevrolet Caprice.
· Toyota Camry.
· Cadillac Deville.
· Jeep Cherokee.
· Buick LeSabre.
· Honda Civic.
· Oldsmobile Delta 88.
·. Chevrolet two-door pickup.
Owners of vehicles in the top 10 list should definitely
consider using a combination of anti-theft devices including steering

devices.
