Alumni from near and far will travel back to Sharpsburg this weekend for East Coweta High School's annual homecoming. The celebration kicked off last night with a parade around the school that led into the stadium. Grand marshal was former Indian gridiron great Keith Brookings. Brookings spent four years at Georgia Tech honing his football skills as a linebacker and was the Atlanta Falcons' first round draft pick this year. The festivities continue tonight as the number eight state-ranked Indians battle the McIntosh Chiefs from Peachtree City at 7:30 p.m. At halftime tonight, the school picks the homecoming court and the final event will be a homecoming dance after the game. School officials said plenty of tickets still remain.
