Area coffee
house enters
sixth season

Offshoot Productions' eclectic coffee house, Stars on the Southern Crescent, resumes at National Heights Baptist Church in Fayetteville on Saturday, Oct. 17. Now entering its sixth season, the coffee house draws both talent and audiences from throughout the metro Atlanta area.

As always, the evening will feature a blend of entertainment. Scheduled for the October event are Southern-style tales by well-known Atlanta storyteller Chuck Larkin; music from around the world performed by the Dots; and the acoustic blues, gospel, folk and rock of Grubbs and Imes.

National Heights is located on Ga. Highway 54 and Old Norton Road, about three miles west of the Fayetteville courthouse. Doors open at 7:45 p.m. and the entertainment begins at 8:15 p.m. General admission remains $5 ($4 for senior citizens and children under age 12). Patrons are encouraged to bring their mugs from home and receive a discount on hot beverages. At each coffee house event, a panel of young judges chooses the "Most Unusual Mug Award" winner.
