Fayette Community Theatre Inc., a partner in the arts with ECCA, has announced their fall schedule of workshops and a storybook production.

The first workshop, "Voice for the Actor," will be Oct. 9 from 5-8 p.m., for ages 9 through 14. The workshop will explore all the techniques of a proper stage voice. Volume, articulation, pronunciation, cold reading, creating a character and breathing will all be introduced. The fee is $30. To register, call 770-599-0051.

The second workshop, "Let's Create...A Halloween Holiday," is for the younger aspiring performer (ages 6-8) and is set for Oct. 30 from 4:30-7 p.m. Participants are invited to attend in costume and have a hair-raising good time. Activities will include a costume contest, three take-home crafts, drama, storytelling and a visit from a friendly witch. The fee is $30. To register call 770-251-7611.

Both workshops will be at the Peachtree City Library and require advance registration.

Fayette Community Theatre will conclude the fall season with a storybook production of "Pinocchio." According to FCT, it has been designed "to delight the entire family with colorful costumes, beautiful sets and a cast of 28 talented performers."

Performance dates and times for the Fayette Community Theatre production of "Pinocchio" are Fridays, Nov. 6 and 13, at 7:30 p.m.; Saturdays, Nov. 7 and 14, at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m.; and Sundays, Nov. 8 and 15, at 2:30 p.m. All performances will be on the Spring Hill Elementary School stage, 100 Bradford Square, Fayetteville.

Advance tickets are $5 general (available beginning Oct. 1 at the Peachtree City Library or through the FCT ticket office, 770-631-1542). Ticket prices at the door are $5 for children, students and seniors and $6 for adults.
