Tigers get back on track
Team: Fayette County Tigers
Coach: Clint Burton
Record: 3-1
Last Week: beat Carver,Columbus 28-15
Key Players: RB Wes Clark, 29 carries for 150 yards,
two touchdowns and threw a 49 yard touchdown pass LB Bryan
Davis, four tackles, five assists, an interception ran back for
a touchdown.DB Michael Duckworth, six tackles and seven
assists.
Notes: The Tigers trailed Carver 7-0 early and then scored
three times to lead 21-7. Carrver scored once more before the
half and converted a two point play to make it 21-15. Fayette
County allowed no more points and scored one more time off an
interception. The Tigers forced two interceptions and recovered
a fumble in the game.

Chiefs lose tough one to Tigers
Team: McIntosh Chiefs
Coach: Clint Ashmore
Record: 1-3
Last Week: lost to Stockbridge 14-7
Key Players: DE Nate Wesley, 20 tackles in a good
overall defensive effort for the Chiefs, RB Dion Stokes, 116 yards
rushing.
Notes: The Chiefs were inefficient in the red zone Friday
night. They were past Stockbridge's 20 yard line five times and only
put points on the scoreboard once. The Chiefs did play well on
defense but couldn't score to put the Tigers
away.
This week: vs Lovejoy
Indians continue to cruise
Team: East Coweta
Coach: Danny Cronic
Record: 4-0
Last week: beat Upson-Lee 35-7
Key players: RB Marvin Smith, 155 yards and two
touchdowns, QB Dantra Clements, three touchdown passes. Kevin
Zackery had another touchdown reception and Mondez Godfrey
continued his dominance on the line. DeMarcus Barner and Scotty
Geter each had a fumble recovery for the Indians.
Notes: East Coweta showed other dimensions to their
game against Upson Lee. In the first three Indian victories, East
Coweta used the strength of their line to pound the ball up the
middle with their ground attack. This week,they tested the corners
and surprised Upson Lee by throwing the ball.Derek Canty is
week to week with a fractured wrist and Drew Harmon is
questionable for this week's game as well.

Team Sandy Creek Patriots
Coach: Don Tyre
Record: 2-1
Last week: Did not play
Key Players: Key players for the Patriots this year have
been RB J.R. Lemon, QB Chris Sizemore and DB Austin Vann.
Notes: Coach Tyre returns to the sidelines this week as
the Patriots take on Forest Park. Forest Park is a talented team
that has a lot of speed and likes to spread out opponent's
defenses. Interim coach Doug Crane knows what to expect and has
been preparing the team for the game in Coach Tyre's absence.

Panthers get first ever varsity winning streak
Team: Starr's Mill Panthers
Coach: Mike Earwood
Record: 2-2
Last week: beat Eagle's Landing 35-21
Key Players: QB Brad McClaren, RB Craig Maddock,
Notes: The Panthers dominated the game from
early in the second quarter on. The offensive line
pushed Eagle's Landing off the ball well enough for
running backs Craig Maddock and LaDon Cooper to get at
least a few yards on every carry. QB Brad McClaren
showed great vision as he knew when to keep the ball and
run with it and when to dish it out to a receiver.
This week: at Jonesboro
Team: Landmark Christian War Eagles
Coach: Bill Thorn
Record: 2-2
Last week: beat Callaway 21-6
Key Players:Duran Rice, two touchdowns, one
as HB and one as QB, Marvin Jinks played well
defensively and scored a touchdown. James Barker
and Rasaan Davis played solid defense asd well.
Notes: The defense kept Landmark in the game.
They were ahead 14-0 when QB C.R.Palmer left the
game with a mild concussion. Callaway was ready to
pounce on the War Eagles misfortune and scored a
touchdown The defense then held Callaway scoreless,
including several drives that were stopped on Landmark's
goal line. The bye week should help the War Eagles
heal some of their bruises and sprains.

Team: Northgate Vikings
Coach: Ron Beaucham
Record: 0-3
Last week: lost to Heard County 26-22
Key Players: RB Marlon Cruver ran the ball well
and WR Dominique Partridge made several big catches
for the Vikings. LB Kyle Stevens and freshmen DL
Ryan Gentry played solid sefensively.
Notes: The key problem for Northgate was
turnovers. They fumbled six times and lost five of them. They
also threw an interception that was ran back for a
touchdown. Coach Beaucham said he was pleased with
the team's performance though and sees improvement
from them week to week. Despite the turnovers, the
young team never gave up and kept fighting, showing a
growth in the team's maturity level.
