When is something going to be done to rid the area around the new Fayette Hospital of that unsightly shell of a building that stands next to it? I was under the impression that, once a building permit was issued and work began, there is a fixed amount of time for the project to be completed. The hospital itself is beautiful, and were it not for this blaring eyesore, the area around it would be picture-perfect. I recommend that the building be torn down and the area be made into a park with walking trails, benches and a lake. This would be great for able patients, staff, visitors and the physical appearance of the hospital area itself. It is an outrage that the property owners have been permitted to maintain this land in such a state of abandonment and disrepair. City of Fayetteville, please do your job. Mark T. Klynott
