The day parts of the Starr report were released, I was watching a far different event. I attended the graduation of my son and another 100 fine young American men from the elite and toughest Army course, Ranger School. Toward the end of the ceremony, the entire class recited the Ranger Creed. Sadly, our President could never qualify as a Ranger. Parts of the creed include "upholding the prestige, honor, and high esprit de corps." Unfortunately, Mr. Clinton, you fall far short in these essential qualities. "More is expected of a Ranger than of any other soldier," and more is expected of our President than of other citizens. Unfortunately, you could never be a Ranger, Mr. Clinton. A Ranger is "expected to set the example for others to follow," and "under no circumstances will I ever embarrass my country." You are the embarrassment, Mr. Clinton, and you could never be a Ranger.
