Every now and then, says Jim Williams, Peachtree City development director, things just work out better than expected. City Planner David Rast explained to the Peachtree City Planning Commission Monday that an office development by Dr. Bruce Perlman will be relandscaped more extensively than the city had asked. The Perlman land tract, at Prime Point and Petrol Point, was cleared of trees in a "tree save" area during the grading process. The city had stopped worked on the project pending a new site plan showing replacement of the trees and vegetation, and had asked for a $5,000 bond from the developers to make sure the replanting was done properly. Rast said no bond was necessary, because additional landscaping has more than offset the tree-clearing. The doctor's offices are ready to go, he added. "They definitely have revised and improved the original plan to include more than is required," Williams said. "Sometimes, if you just let things work themselves out, the right thing gets done."
