Master Gardener classapplication deadline nears
Do you like working with plants? Do you enjoy
being around people? If the answers are "yes," then you might
want to become a Master Gardener.
Master Gardener classes at the Clayton County
International Park are being planned for Mondays and Wednesdays,
2:30-5 p.m., beginning Jan. 4 and continuing through March 17.
A $70 fee is charged for a notebook and other supplies, and
50 hours of volunteer hours to the Extension Service are
required. You must be a Fayette County resident to enroll
in these classes.
Topics to be covered include landscape design, annuals
and perennials, trees, ornamental shrubs, fruit and
vegetable gardening, pest identification and control, plant
physiology, entomology and pathology, lawn care and more.
