J. Kyle Stephens received the coveted Eagle Scout Award during the Eagle Scout Court of Honor Aug. 9 at Peachtree City United Methodist Church. Kyle is the son of Dan and Karen Stephens of Peachtree City and the grandson of Robert and June Baumwell of Boynton Beach, Fla., and D.L. and Annie Laurie Stephens of Millen, Ga.

Since starting as a Cub Scout in 1986, Kyle has earned numerous merit badges and special awards and has held several troop leadership positions. His Eagle Scout Project was a roadway sign for Kedron Elementary School in Peachtree City.

Kyle is attending The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina.
