Local builder named senior vice president of John
Wieland Homes Atlanta Operations
Local builder John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods has named Rick Carruthers the new senior vice president of John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods Atlanta Operations in a move that will position the company for continued growth and expansion. A 19-year home building veteran and four year company member, Carruthers will oversee construction and sales of all 30 Atlanta neighborhoods. Previously, he served the company as Northwest Region President, overseeing the operations of Wieland's neighborhoods in North Fulton, Cobb and Cherokee counties. An active member of the Atlanta home building industry, Carruthers is a member of the Merchant Builder Council of Metro Atlanta Home Builders Association. He also serves as a member of the advisory board of the College of Building Construction of Georgia Tech. Carruthers lives in Wieland's WhiteWater Country Club neighborhood in Fayetteville with his wife, Martha, and their three children, Courtney, Robert and Greg. Founded by John Wieland in 1970, the company is currently building in 60 neighborhoods in the Southeast, with 1329 closings and revenues of $380 million last year. The Atlanta Business Chronicle's "Book of Lists" ranked John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods #27 of "Atlanta's Top 100 Private Companies.
