Tinseltown ushers in a new era of movie-going
The glamor and glitter of Hollywood comes to Fayetteville Friday as Cinemark USA, Inc. opens
its newest state-of-the-art theatre this Friday.
Tinseltown USA features 17 screens with stadium seating and is located in the Fayette
Pavilion shopping center.
Movie-goers will notice a huge difference in
the theater, said the company's marketing director.
"Tinseltown provides the absolute best
movie-going experience. We are excited to bring a
theater like Tinseltown to the area," said Cinemark
vice president of marketing and communications
Randy Hester.
Along with stadium seating, the new complex offers a 16-inch height difference between each
row and high-backed rocking chair seats with
cupholder armrests and a huge video arcade.
The theater has three box offices with six computerized ticketing stations that allow patrons
to purchase tickets four days in advance. Ticket
prices are $6.25 for evening adult admission and $4.25
for a child's ticket. All shows that start before 6 p.m.
are priced at $4.25.
Inside the theater, hungry movie watchers have
a choice of three full-service concession areas
featuring favorite snacks.
To celebrate the grand opening weekend, the theater is giving away commemorative t-shirts
to the first 1,000 ticket buyers on Friday.
On Saturday, the Guiness Book of World Records will be at the theater to witness the "World's
Largest Popcorn Event." The container is 40 feet in
diameter and five feet tall and filled with popcorn.
Twenty-five contest finalists will climb into the
contained and dig for great prizes.
Cinemark USA is the sixth largest motion
picture exhibitor in the country with 2,080 screens in
31 states.
