Teen idol trio to perform at amphitheater

There will be a "kind of hush" all over Peachtree City when Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits takes the stage with fellow teen idols from the '60's and 70's, Davy Jones of The Monkees, and singer and actor, Bobby Sherman.

They will perform Saturday at the Frederick Brown, Jr. Amphitheater. Tickets are still available for this blast-from-the-past concert at $27 apiece.

Noone achieved pop fame as lead singer for the British rock band Herman's Hermits. Hit songs include "Mrs. Brown You've got a Lovely Daughter," "Henry the Eighth," "There's a Kind of Hush," "I'm Into Something Good," and "Listen People."

He has 14 gold records and 23-best-selling albums to his credit.

Jones is remembered best for his membership in The Monkees, a four-member band and televison show. As a singer for The Monkees, Jones recorded 10 Top 20 hits. He sang the hit songs, "Daydream Believer," "A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You," and "Valleri."

Sherman recorded "Hey Little Woman," "Easy Come, Easy Go," "Julie," and "Cried Like a Baby," which along with others, sold more than 10 million records. He also had a role on ABC's "Shindig," the first prime time rock and roll television showcase.

Amphitheater ticket office hours are 9 a .m. until 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. For more information, call 770-631-0630.
