For the third consecutive year, the Pacers swim team won the state meet. The team qualified 68 swimmers at the district meet at Kedron to swim at the state meet last weekend in Carrollton.

The team took first in every medley relay except one and took first place in six out of the 10 free relays. The team had 13 first place finishers in the 11-12, 13-14 and 15-18 age groups.

Some of the highlights from the meet included:

· Brittany Stevens set a state record in the 50-meter butterfly and finished first in the 11-12 relays along with her teammates Anna Deluca, Schaefer Abercrombie and Katie Ham.

· Molly MacGregor finished first in all the 15-18 age group events she participated in and the Pacers swept the backstroke event with Kelly Ireland, Jessica Betts and Krystal Ham scoring high points.

· Scott Adams, Matt Hildebrand, Matt Kelly and Thomas Lucak led the way in points in the 9-10 age group.
