Classic Apple Pie: An American tradition
Apples are a healthful fruit that make an excellent base for some
of the most appreciated desserts.
That's why the people at Thank You® have taken the goodness
of wholesome apples and sealed them into canned apple fruit. Thank
You, known as the Fruit People, selects the plumpest, juiciest fruits for
their canned fruit pie fillings and toppings. Here's a flavor-filled recipe
using new More Fruit Apple Filling with 25 percent more fruit.
Classic Apple Pie
Prep time: 10 min.
Bake time: 4050 min.
1 can (21 oz.) Thank You® Brand More Fruit Apple Filling
1 8-inch double pie crust (for 9-inch pie shell, use two 21-oz.
cans apple filling)
Line pie pan with rolled pie crust. Spread filling evenly in crust.
Place vented or lattice-top crust over filling.
Bake at 425°F for 10 minutes; reduce heat to 375°F and
continue baking 30 to 40 minutes until golden brown. Serves 6 to 8.
