Dr. J. Lebron McBride, a
member of Fayetteville
Community Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), has published a
book entitled "Spiritual Crisis: Surviving Trauma to the Soul."
Dr. McBride is an ordained minister and is currently coordinator of behavioral
medicine at the Georgia Baptist Family Practice Residency Program in Morrow. The book is aimed primarily at those
who minister to parishioners, friends or clients undergoing any of several types of "spiritual crisis." In the
book's introductory sections, Dr. McBride outlines various types of crises, including loss and grief, physical
trauma, broken and dysfunctional relationships and denominational identity or transition problems.
McBride and his wife Deborah, a family nurse practitioner, have two children, Anna Marie, 5, and Ben, 3.
He serves as president of the board and an elder at
Community Christian.
He will sign his books today from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Barnes and Noble Bookstore, 1939 Mt. Zion Road, Morrow.
