The Rt. Rev. Charles J. Child, Seventh Bishop of Atlanta,
will be the guest speaker at The Episcopal Church of the
Nativity Aug.16 at 9:30 a.m. He will facilitate an open forum,
"Everything you ever wanted to know about the
Episcopal Church but weren't sure about asking."
Bishop Child recently celebrated his 50th anniversary
of priestly ordination and was the presiding bishop of the
Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta from 1978 to 1989.
"He has the enthusiasm and energy of a young person,
passionately in love with God's people," says the Rev.
Bob Hudak, vicar of Nativity. With more than 75 years of
faithful service in the Episcopal church, Bishop Child offers a
unique and refreshing perspective on life and ministry."
The bishop will also preside and preach at the
Holy Eucharist which begins at 10:30 a.m.
