Model open in The Falls at SouthamptonJohn Wieland Homes & Neighborhoods has announced the grand opening of a new designer model in The Falls, the newest phase of the successful Southampton neighborhood in Tyrone. Southampton is off Ga. Highway 74, just 5 minutes from I-85 and 5 minutes from Peachtree City. It offers the ultimate in proximity to the airport, Atlanta and Peachtree City offerings. The new model is the Kenilworth floor plan, one of Wielands best-selling plans, offering over 3,325 square feet of gracious living space. The entry foyer is flanked by a formal living room and dining room, both beautifully decorated in rich red, gold and beige tones. The dining room features a textured ceiling and is lit by a pair of exquisite chandeliers. The spacious family room is designed with a vaulted ceiling and carries out the color scheme in red, brown, black, gold and beige. A fireplace and built-in bookcases create a perfect gathering place for the family, while a dramatic wall of windows that reaches to the 20-foot ceiling creates a focal point by providing a magnificent view of the wooded landscape. The heart of this home could well be the kitchen, ideal for casual entertaining with its vast proportions, generous center island, breakfast room and inviting keeping room. The custom cabinetry by Cabinetcraft, a John Wieland Company, is finished in a warm Vintage Honey Maple, which beautifully complements the Vintage Black island, also designed by Cabinetcraft. Cabinets are topped by granite countertops with a stone-look tile backsplash. The breakfast room brings in natural light from the bay window, which is enhanced by a built-in window seat. In classic style, the keeping rooms focal point is the stacked stone fireplace, flanked by built-in magazine racks and bookcases, perfect for a family library or game collection. The roomy laundry room is conveniently situated just off the kitchen, offering plenty of workspace for laundry tasks and other projects. A guest room/study completes the main floor and is furnished as guest room with a vintage tennis theme in red, black and beige/gold hues. Upstairs, the owners suite provides a stunning, sophisticated retreat with bedroom, sitting area, luxurious spa bath and retreat. The retreat is decorated as a ladys office and is enhanced by a convenient morning bar for coffee and snacks. The spa bath is finished with Honey Maple cabinets by Cabinetcraft, brushed nickel fixtures and framed vanity mirrors to the ceiling. Three more bedrooms complete the upstairs, one decorated for a teenaged girl with a flair for fashion done in pink, apple green, white, yellow; one for the pre-teen boy with an automotive motif in red, gray and black and the third, decorated to house the gentlemans office, featuring classic golf décor in green and beige with hints of red. A built-in desk in the upstairs loft provides space for the kids to do crafts or homework. The Falls at Southampton features an impressive waterfall entrance and park and offers beautiful wooded lots, many with vistas that overlook the neighborhood. Homes from John Wielands Habersham and Signature series are available from the $300s to the $500s. Homeowners enjoy resort amenities including an 8,000 square foot clubhouse with fitness center and meeting spaces, a competition swimming pool with 3-loop waterslide, wading pool, 4 lighted tennis courts, a childrens playground, a 3-acre neighborhood park and 18 acres of green space, including walking trails and open areas. Southamptons school-aged children are served by great Fayette County schools: Burch Elementary and Flat Rock Middle Schools, both Georgia Schools of Excellence; and Sandy Creek High School. The new Kenilworth model and sales center are open Monday 12 to 6pm, Tuesday through Saturday 10am to 6pm and Sunday from 12pm to 6pm.
