Keller Williams fundraiser nets $14,000The folks at Keller Williams Realty came through in a big way last month to help one of their own. A dinner-auction fundraiser for Sue Anne Bassett, who joined the Keller Williams staff in Sept. 2004 but has not worked since December because she has stage 4 cervical cancer, brought in more than $14,000 to help cover her medical bills, most of which are not covered by insurance. The dinner and live auction, priced at $100 per plate, was held Sept. 12 at The Famous Fish Company in the Avenue at Peachtree City. A South African gourmet meal was provided, including the restaurants specialty dessert known as Auntie Stienie's Malva Pudding. Monetary donations were also accepted, and the auction included numerous items donated by local businesses, from gift certificates to week-long stays at the beach. Sponsors included Applause Salon, Autera Health Center, Beard & Co., Chef Nancy, Liz Claire, Davis Chiropractic, Charlie Ferguson, The Famous Fish Company, Glorico Signs, Gourmet Deli, Harwell Photography, Gray Harwell, Home Depot, IHOP, J93.3, Jill Keough, Judie Leveritt, Kelli Paul Salon, Doug Leathers, Laurie McCarthy, Nextel (TransComm Services PTC), Office Depot, Peachtree Irrigation, Peachtree City Tennis Center, Pro Professional Cleaners, Reformed Products, SummerGrove Golf Club, Tea Fusions Cafe' & Gifts, Ted's Montana Grill, Turner Images, Slepian & Schwartz, LLC, and Margie Wurl.
