Bad Links? | See prize-winning nature photos at SCT fall benefitSouthern Conservation Trust will host a Photography Exhibit and present the winners of their 2005 Nature Photography Contest at a Fall Benefit on the evening of Saturday, October 1st. Growing Greenspace will be held on the grounds of Catalpa Plantation, an historic 65 acre property outside Newnan. In addition to the Photo Exhibit, SCT will honor the Sams family of Fayetteville, who donated a property on Old Senoia that will open to the public next year as a wildlife sanctuary. Guests can also bid on one-of-a kind items in a silent auction, including a weekend for two at Callaway Gardens Inn, a box of fine wines from North Georgias Tiger Mountain Winery, a twilight flight for 6 over Atlanta, and fly-fishing lessons. Food from Professional Touch Catering, prize winning beer from Athens Terrapin Brewery, and live music will guarantee a festive evening. SCT is a nonprofit land trust based in Fayette County that owns, manages and protects natural areas in the Southern Crescent. Proceeds from the benefit will fund the management of public nature preserves, conservation of community greenspace, and monthly nature programs.
