Bad Links? | McIntosh girls win Boling Park Invitational By MICHAEL BOYLAN The Boling Park Invitational was held at Boling Park in Canton, Ga. on Saturday and the McIntosh Lady Chiefs had a very strong showing. The team won the AAAA/AAAAA race and Emily Borsare was the races individual champion with a time of 17:44.60. Rounding out the top five for McIntosh were: Erica Hughey, 10, 20:25.70; Rebecca Stokes, 11, 20:28.10; Kaia Hampton, 24, 21:19.30 and Kaelyn Horton, 26, 21:23.40. Fayette Countys girls placed 14th in the race and had two runners in the top 100: Clarie Bergstrom, 34, 21:51.00 and Caitlin Alverson, 47, 22:13.40. In the boys AAAA/AAAAA race, Our Lady of Mercy entered their team and placed fifth. Brothers Jake and Matt Lethbridge placed third and fourth with times of 16:49.80 and 16:50.70. Rounding out the top five for the Bobcats were Thomas Raville, 51, 18:33.20; Daniel Harlow, 72, 18:49.90 and Matt Fitzgerald, 84, 18:57.90. Fayette County placed eighth in the race and McIntosh placed 11th. The Tigers had four runners in the top 50; John DeCotis, 25, 17:53.40; Michael Blankenbeker, 33, 18:02.10; Ryan Kennedy, 37, 18:11.90; David Zitelli, 18:12.70. McIntoshs Michael Mateos placed ninth with a time of 17:13.30 and Matt Troxel placed 36th with a time of 18:10.20. Also breaking into the top 100 for McIntosh were Chris Cage, 69, 18:46.70; Cormac Carolan-Tolbert, 91, 19:07.10 and Mike Cool, 96, 19:10.10. In the girls A/AA/AAA race, Landmark Christian placed second and Our Lady of Mercy placed sixth. Four of Landmarks top five placed in the top 20 while the fifth runner placed 21st. Their top five were Kaity Bulger, 6, 21:09.90; Elizabeth Gresham. 21:23.90; Lauren McGuire, 18, 22;15.40; Caroline Jones, 20, 22;19.10 and Christian McGuire, 21, 22:23.50. The to five for the Lady Bobcats were Sarah Hohenberger, 15, 21:59.40; Sam Jumper, 28, 22:36.40; Savini Santha, 29, 22;46.30; Lauren Hohenberger, 41, 23:24.20 and Elizabeth Gagliano, 52, 25:20.00. Landmarks boys placed second in the race with their top five all breaking into the top 26. Brett Lewis placed second with a time of 17:19.30. he was followed by Chad Thames, 9, 17:53.50; Mehamed Gomez, 14, 18:24.30; Zach Speir, 15, 18:27.50 and Alek Pike, 26, 18:55.10. |
