Religion BriefsSouthside Baptist plans yard saleSouthside Baptist Church will have a yard sale Friday and Saturday, Sept. 23 and 24, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the church. All proceeds will go to the church building fund. Southside Baptist is at 1332 Ga. Hwy. 92 South, about two miles south of the Fayetteville city limits.
WELCA meeting planned for Sept. 24The womens group, WELCA, at Christ Our Hope Lutheran Church will meet Saturday, Sept. 24, at 10 a.m. to elect officers for the coming year and to have a brief Bible study. For more information, call 770-997-7117.
Hopewells deadline approachingThose with handicrafts, canned goods and produce who wish to display and sell them at Hopewell United Methodist Churchs upcoming Pumpkin Patch Bazaar have until Sunday, Sept. 25, to reserve a space. The event is Saturday, Oct. 8 at the church on Jenkins Road. Setup will be Friday evening from 4-8 p.m. Vendors must provide their own tables and display equipment. The bazaar will be indoors. Lemon Homestead set for Sunday at FFBCMembers of the Fayetteville First Baptist Church will present Lemon Homestead, an original play written by Jean White, Sunday, Sept. 25, at 4 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the church. The play concerns the Lemon Valley Nursing Home and how it reacts to an orphan family. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend. The church is on Stonewall Avenue just off the courthouse square in Fayetteville. |
