Bad Links? | Peachtree City team on its way to help Katrina effortsFour Peachtree City medics were on their way to St. Bernard Parish, La., Tuesday morning to assist with search and rescue efforts in areas that were heavily damaged by Hurricane Katrina. The medics are bringing along an ambulance and they play to stay seven days, relieving another search and rescue team, according to Fire Chief Stony Lohr. Those plans could change, however, if Hurricane Rita targets that area, Lohr indicated. In the early days after the tragedy, officials throughout the area have sought reinforcements for overworked emergency personnel, many of whom also lost their homes and belongings. John Munford |
