Bad Links? | Six vie for PTC mayorSix people including incumbent Steve Brown have qualified to run for mayor of Peachtree City, officials said. Among the candidates are: Michael Arterburn, 33, of 315 Bradford Way, the general manager of Papa John’s; Phil Boswell, 51, of 117 Montclair Drive, a partner in an insurance and mortgage company; Steve D. Brown, 41, of 148 Terrane Ridge, the incumbent whose occupation is listed as mayor on qualifying documents; Harold K. Logsdon, 60 of 116 Morallion Hills, a financial planner; Dan Tennant, 48, of 120 Ardenlee, a regional manager; and Dar Thompson, 43, of 408 Las Brasis Court, owner and president of World Gym (also known as Better Bodies Fitness). Voters will also have a choice in both races for City Council posts also. Although incumbent Councilman Murray Weed has declined to run, three qualified for his seat: Daniel L. Gibbs, 41, of 141 Interlochen Drive, an information systems manager/attorney; Casimir Christian Lukjan, 21, of 119 Fielding Ridge, whose occupation is unlisted on city documents; and Cyndi Plunkett, 44, of 220 Independence Lane, an attorney and homemaker. Steve Rapson, 42, of 112 St. Andrews Square, chief of staff for Fulton County Commission Chair Karen Handel, qualified to run again for his seat, and he will face just one challenger: Stephen W. Boone, 60, of 607 Spectrum Vista, an engineer and consultant. |
