Candidate forum set

Candidates running for the mayor’s post and two seats on the Peachtree City Council are being invited to a political forum that will be hosted by the city’s Senior Adult Council.

All persons interested in the political process are invited to attend regardless of their age, said council chairwoman Betsy Dodds. The event will be Sunday, Oct. 16, at 2 p.m. at the Gathering Place in Peachtree City.

All candidates who qualify to run for office will be invited to attend, Dodds said. Voters will have the opportunity to ask questions not just on senior issues but also on other topics, Dodds said.

Each candidate will have the opportunity to make a brief statement, followed by a question and answer session that will be moderated, Dodds said. Light refreshments will be served afterwards.
