Local Cadet named to dean’s list

Cadet Andrew Tyler Freeman, son of Tom and Kim Freeman of Peachtree City, was named to the Dean’s list at the U.S. Military Academy.

To qualify for the Dean’s List, a cadet must maintain a 3.0 grade point average.

Freeman graduated from Starr’s Mill High School in 2004. He plans to graduate from West Point in 2008 and be commissioned a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army.

The mission of the U.S. Military Academy is to educate, train, and inspirew the Corps of Cadets so that each graduate is a commissioned leader of character committed to the values of Duty, Honor, Country and prepared for a career of professional excellece and ervice to the Nation as an officer in the United States Army.
