Six custom builders in Stanley ParkWith six quality custom builders on the job in Henry County's Stanley Park, prospective buyers have the opportunity to choose from a large and rapidly-changing inventory of two-story and ranch homes beginning in the mid-$300,000's and going up to $449,900. The approximately 350-acre Stanley Park community is on the banks of the South River a short drive from Interstate 20's Exit # 82 and just minutes from McDonough, the historic county seat of Henry County. McDonough, with its tree-lined streets and picturesque town square shopping district, was recently named one of the top places to live in America in a CNN/Money Magazine survey. Stanley Park is in the Union Grove School District. Originally planned for four phases, the popularity of Stanley Park's phases one and two resulted in the opening of phases three and four at the same time with six builders participating. "Stanley Park builders Dave Aberg, Tim Adams, Jim and Jeff Brannan, Paul Lindsey, Frank Miller and Maurry and Stephen Russell are as top quality a team of builders as you'll find in all of Metro Atlanta," says Bobby Denio, on-site sales agent for Coldwell Banker American Land Mart, the brokerage representing the community on an exclusive basis. "They will modify or customize plans. Or they will build to a customer's plans, as long as they are compatible with the other homes in the community," Denio said. "They are absolutely of one mind when it comes to quality construction. But their many different plans, while compatible, provide a diverse mixture of upscale home styles. They are on site every day and welcome the opportunity to talk to customers." Stanley Park builders are contributing $4,000 in closing costs on a new home sale when the financing is done through qualified lenders. When completed, the community will have approximately 180 homes. Most of the home sites are one to two-and-a-half acres, but beautifully wooded sites of three-to-17 acres including lake and river lots are available. The standard and optional features in the Stanley Park homes vary from builder to builder and plan to plan, but usually include four to five bedrooms and three to five baths. There are hardwood floors in the foyers. Some homes have two-story foyers along with double stairways, and in some plans the use of hardwood flooring extends to every room except the family room and guest bedroom. Many homes have family rooms with media cabinets and see-through fireplaces that adjoin the kitchen. Impressive master suites with sitting areas, grand baths, walk-in closets and wet bars are found in many designs and in some, the master suite includes its own covered porch. There are formal living rooms and dining rooms sometimes with interior columns included as part of the design of those rooms. Large kitchens feature work islands, granite counter tops with tiled back splash and maple raised panel cabinetry. Some kitchens have breakfast rooms and pantries. Depending on the plan, impressive master baths have vaulted or trey ceilings, jetted tubs, large showers and walk-in his and hers closets. All of the homes in phases three and four are four sides brick. Yards are professionally sodded and sprinkler systems are included.
