Jones named to ‘Who’s Who’

Tim Jones, owner and president of Tim Jones Communities Inc., has been selected for inclusion in the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s annual “Who’s Who in Residential Real Estate” section.

The special section was published in the Aug. 19-25 edition of the publication.

The publication explained that the listing “tells the story of the people who make Atlanta’s housing market happen.”

Tim Jones Communities is a 25-year-old organization which over the years has been a leading builder in the Clayton/Henry area of Metro South and has recently become active in South Fulton County. The company is currently building approximately 250 homes a year.

Jones, the company’s owner and president, has been involved in building since 1974, when he was 19 years old. Jones served the 1998-99 president of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and is also a past president of the Metro South Home Builders Association.

He was the 2000 Builder of the Year for the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and the 2000 Builder Member of the Year for the Home Builders Association of Georgia.

In recent years, he and his company have been recognized with the prestigious Diamond Builder award from 2/10 Home Buyers Warranty (HBW), the nation’s leading 10-year home buyer’s warranty program, for a proven track record in superior construction standards, design quality, and outstanding customer service.

In 1998, Tim Jones Communities Inc. was among the first group of Metro Atlanta area builders to receive the sought after Certified Professional Home Builder designation. The company has also earned Professionalism Awards from the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and the Atlanta Sales & Marketing Council, including the Gold Award for single-family, detached homes in the $100,000-$129,000 price range.
