Brayson remains high on Chronicle listBrayson Homes has maintained its place in the Atlanta Business Chronicles annual listing of Atlantas Top 25 Home Builders. The latest ranking appeared in the publications edition of Aug. 19-25. The company was listed at No. 10 in the publications ranking, which was based on the number of homes closed in 2004. Gwinnett-based and family-owned Brayson Homes, founded in 1977, has sold over 8,000 new homes during its history. Brayson now has communities in locations throughout Metro Atlanta, including Clayton, Coweta, DeKalb, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Newton, Paulding, Cherokee and Spalding counties, in addition to the Douglas/Carroll area. The company is one of just a few of the 13,000 builders in the more than 20-year history of the 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty Program to receive the Diamond Builder award for quality construction and outstanding customer service. Brayson has also earned awards in the prestigious Professionalism Awards sponsored by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association. Each year, Brayson Homes and its building partners dedicate their time and materials to building a home in support of the Georgia Transplant Foundation, an organization that assists organ transplant recipients, candidates and their families. All of the proceeds from the sale of the designated Brayson home are donated to directly provide for patients who need assistance during and after the transplant process. "Transplant House" donations exceeded the $1 million mark this spring with the sale of a home in the Gables at Heron Bay in Spalding County. Other home sales have benefited the American Cancer Society, the DeKalb County Department of Family and Children Services and a Gwinnett County battered women's shelter.
