Bad Links? | DFCS supported at Tyrone eventParticipants at Tyrones annual Founders Day festivities next weekend will have a chance to help families who have located in Fayette County to flee from the areas of the gulf ravaged by Hurricane Katrina. A table at the event will be set up to accept donations that will be forwarded to the Fayette County Department of Family and Children Services. DFCS is the lead agency helping take care of families now living in the area due to Katrinas wrath. The greatest need for DFCS is for gift cards and gift certificates, ideally in increments of $25, so families can buy food, medicine and clothing. The lions share of families here in Fayette who were displaced by Katrina are living with friends or relatives, officials said. |
