Religion BriefsBible study starts tonight at CTKTwo free Bible studies will begin tonight and tomorrow at Christ the King Charismatic Episcopal Church in Sharpsburg. Edward Behlke of Fayetteville and David Neece of Newnan will lead a topical study centered on key issues and questions in the Bible each Wednesday beginning Sept. 7. Scott Quinn of Sharpsburg will lead a verse-by-verse study of the book of Galatians each Thursday, beginning Sept. 8. Both classes start at 7 p.m. A nursery will be available. Interfaith service set for tomorrowThe Fayette Interfaith Network will sponsor its fourth annual Interfaith Service Thursday, Sept. 8, at 7 p.m. at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church, 175 E. Lanier Ave., just east of the old courthouse. This years service, themed Compassion in the Jewish, Christian and Muslim Traditions, will focus on the similarities between the worlds three major monotheistic religions. Local Christian, Jewish, and Muslim congregations have teamed together to plan and lead the service. A reception will follow the service, featuring foods provided by the congregations. Youth concert rocks this weekendA free youth concert hosted by Fresh Fire Youth Church will be held Saturday, Sept. 10, at 5:30 p.m., at Fayetteville Heritage Park at the Stonewall Complex in Fayetteville. Holy Cross healing class starts Sept. 13Dr. Judy and Father Paul Massey, of the Church of the Holy Cross Charismatic Episcopal Church in Fayetteville, will teach an 11-week class on Transformation of the Mind and Inner Healing, beginning Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 7 p.m. The class is designed for people who wish to minister to those who have these conditions, and for those who suffer from them.
