Angela Clement and Steven Britton were married July 15, 2005, in a double ring ceremony held at the Merle Manders Conference Center in Stockbridge. Judge Judy Hayes conducted the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of William and Cathy Click of Denver, Ind., and the granddaughter of Avis Glassburn of Denver, Ind., and the late Russell Click, and the late Gary and Irene Martin.
A graduate of North Miami High School in Denver, Ind., she is a graduate of Georgia State University in Atlanta, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in early childhood education. She also is a graduate of Piedmont College in Demorest, where she earned a master of arts degree in early childhood education. She currently is an elementary school teacher in Fayetteville.
The groom is the son of Gary and Rita Britton of Frederick, Okla., and the grandson of the late Bill and Ruth Britton and the late Lorene Hine. He is a graduate of Frederick High School in Frederick, Okla., and a graduate of Georgia State university in Atlanta where he received a bachelor of science degree in health and physical education. He presently is employed as a physical education teacher in Rex.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Maid of honor was Judy Daprano-Rachau, friend of the bride. The bridesmaid was Toma Baker, cousin of the bride.
Flower girls were Emily Britton, daughter of the groom; Brooke Britton, Alexa Britton and Ashlee Callahan, nieces of the groom; Maddie Ebeling, friend of the bride and groom; and Emma Click and Olivia Click, nieces of the bride.
Brad Britton, brother of the groom, served as best man, and Russel Britton, also brother of the groom, served as groomsman.
A dinner and dance for 100 guests was held at the conference center in Stockbridge.
Following their honeymoon in Las Vegas, Nev., the couple presently resides in Fayetteville.
Rotz anniversary
Mrs. and Mrs. Roy Rotz of Peachtree City will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary today, Aug. 31, 2005. Originally from Decatur, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Rotz have lived in Peachtree City for 20 years. Their family includes three daughters: Cindy Williams of Fayetteville, Lorie Curtiss of Atlanta, and Linda Johnson of Encinitas, Calif.; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Hampton-Svoboda
Brooke Elizabeth Hampton and Michael Steven Svoboda were married Aug. 6, 2005 at the Historic Dunaway Gardens in Newnan. The Rev. Betsy Haas of Peachtree City United Methodist Church officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Hampton of Peachtree City. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Luther Hobson, Mrs. Jerry Hampton and the late Jerry Hampton, all of Sheffield, Alabama.
The grooms parents are Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Svoboda of East Cobb. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Burnham and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Svoboda all of California.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Katherine Brown of Athens was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Whitney Peach of Washington D.C., B.J. Perkins of Peachtree City, Ellen Graham, cousin of the bride of Jacksonville, Fla., and Caitlin Svoboda, sister of the groom of East Cobb. Man of honor was Blake Hampton, brother of the bride and the flower girls were Morgan Ellison and Madison Lewis all of Peachtree City.
Hans Rearick of Los Angeles, Calif. served as the grooms best man. Groomsmens were Keith Townsend of East Cobb, Crockett Hammond of Columbia, S.C., Brad Hampton, brother of the bride, of Peachtree City, and Chris Svoboda, brother of the groom, of East Cobb. Ushers were Jason Hudson of Tuscaloosa, Ala. and Ryan Toole of Columbia, S.C. The ring bearer was Trevor Ellison of Peachtree City.
The parents of the bride hosted a rehearsal party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E.B. Evans, and the reception was held throughout Dunaway Gardens.
The bride and groom went on their honeymoon to Play del Carmen, Mexico, and now reside in Peachtree City.
Nell-Quirk
Christy S. Nell and Patrick J. Quirk were married Aug. 21, 2005, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chapel Hill, N.C. The reception was held at The Carolina Inn.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Nell of Fayetteville.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Quirk of Alpharetta.
Both the bride and the groom are 2004 graduates of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and both participated in the UNC Chapel Hill Marching Band and Pep Band.
