Mt. Olive plans BBQ, yard sale Saturday

Mt. Olive Baptist Church will have a barbecue and yard sale Saturday, Sept 3, beginning at 8 a.m., on the grounds of the future home of Mt. Olive, Ga. Hwy. 92 North at Davis Rd. Call to pre-order a yard sale table or slab of ribs for $20. Prices of other items include a fish plate for $5, a rib plate for $6, a hot dog plate for $2, a fish sandwich for $2.50, a rib sandwich for $3.50, and a hot dog for $1. Man 2 Man group starts Sept. 6

Men in the community are invited to experience spiritual disciplines for ordinary people as Bruce Hebel, senior pastor at Grace Evangelical Church leads men through a study of John Ortberg’s book, The Life You’ve Always Wanted. Mothers of Preschoolers to meet Sept. 7

“Making a good family great” is the theme for this year’s Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) group at Carriage Lane Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City. MOPS seeks to provide mothers of preschoolers with a network of support and encouragement while offering a simultaneous children’s program called MOPPETS for children from birth to kindergarten. Registration will open to the public Sept. 7, from 10-11:30 a.m. at the All Children’s Playground. The group will meet the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month, beginning Sept. 14. Ladies Bible study starts Sept. 7 at FFBC

A 10-week Beth Moore Bible study program, “The Patriarchs,” will begin at Fayetteville First Baptist Church Wednesday, Sept. 7. Inman United Methodist Church in south Fayette County will offer a nine-month Bible study class on “Jesus Christ, The Cornerstone,” beginning Thursday, Sept. 8, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The class will be taught by Inman’s pastor, the Rev. Providence to host community Bible study

Community Bible Study is an interdenominational Bible study for the community which will resume classes Sept. 9, from 9:30-11:30 a.m at Providence United Methodist Church. This year’s study is entitled “Solomon’s Wisdom and Pastoral Letters.” A children’s program is available for ages 6 weeks through fifth grade. Patriotic performance set at Woolsey Baptist

“America We Must Not Forget; A Patriotic Call for Revival in America,” will be presented by the Celebration Choir of Woolsey Baptist Church Sunday night, Sept. 11, at 6 p.m. The composition was created by Mike Harland with Chris Machen and Luke Garrett, arranged and orchestrated by Richard Kingsmore. First Baptist to host Anita Renfro Sept. 13

The ladies of the First Baptist Church in Peachtree City will host “Pink Collar Comedy Night with Anita Renfro” Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 7 p.m., featuring Atlanta’s Anita Renfro performing inspirational musical comedy. Griffin church seeks donations for building

The New Covenant Pure Holiness Church in Griffin is seeking donations to meet a $1,500 goal to repair and restore a building on 9th Street in Griffin.
